Everybody stop what you are doing, this is the best thing you will see in 2015. Seriously ladies and gents I’m drooling at the thought of getting my lips on one of these bad boys.
In recent years the world has been blessed with the fine art of fusion cuisine. Who could forget Oreo churros or pizza cupcakes? Not me that’s for sure. Now we have another heavenly food creation to add to this magical list. It’s called a Krispy Kreme and ice cream sushi roll and it’s what your life has been missing.
Before you all get your knickers in a twist, no, it is not filled with raw fish and rice. On the contrary, it takes the elements of a sushi roll but is made up of something far greater.
We have sushi chef Hiroyuki Terada to thanks for this one – the same hero who bought us the legendary Big Mac sushi roll. So let’s get down to the important bit, how the hell can we rustle up one of these delicious beasts? Easy…
Slice up your Krispy Kreme doughnuts horizontally and place them side-by-side on a tray. Fill each hole with additional doughnuts so that there are no gaps.
Cover them with cling film and flatten those delights down.
Now for the filling. Remove the cling film (no one wants a mouthful of that), grab yourself a Cornetto, smash it up real good and lay it down the middle.
Now all that’s left to do is to roll him up, but do it quickly because ice cream loves to melt.
Begin the slicing process.
Salivate, decorate and eat the whole damn thing.
